Review: Platinum Preppy Sign

I received these Platinum Preppy Sign markers compliments of JetPens.  They have a great feel, great ink flow, and have the added bonus of refillable ink cartridges and replacable tips.  More details from JetPens:
The Preppy line from Platinum is so comfortable and practical that our customers have requested that we bring in the entire line. So now the Preppy fountain pen, marker, and highlighter are all available at JetPens.
The brilliant design of the Platinum Preppy Sign Markers is that they work just like a fountain pen! They use convenient ink refill cartridges. Just pop one in and in seconds the nib is filled and ready to go. The markers are great for frequent use because even the tip is replaceable. Even though they are made for the office, they are especially kid friendly because you can always replace the tip after they have been abused. Very economical and eco-friendly. Seven vibrant colors available.

Review: Pilot FriXion 0.7mm

I started this blog because I have a problem, and the Pilot FriXion epitomizes my addiction.  I know I'm not going to like this pen.  I've reviewed it before and didn't like it, but I still bought this 0.7mm model even after my previous experience.  What I can say is that I don't hate this one as bad as the 0.5mm blue model, but I just can't see myself using this on a day to day basis.

Review: Sharpie Ultra Fine

The Sharpie Permanent Marker is a classic, but does not give a classic performance in my Moleskine Reporter notebook.  Not that I expected it to, but I wanted to try out the Ultra Fine tip anyway.  It bleeds through the page really quickly, causing me to write at light speed.  The following page in my notebook became unusable (in my anal-retentive mind) after this pen test.  I think I'll stick to marking cd's and dvd's with this one.

Review: Uni-Ball Signo Premier

A reader reminder me of the Uni-Ball Signo Premier in a recent email, referring to it as just "the pen", and it certainly is a good one.  I have had this model lingering around without much use for months, and I forgot how nice it really is.  Silky smooth and extremely comfortable - a perfect pen for all of those long writing or notetaking sessions.  It comes equipped with a black 0.7mm gel ink cartridge, but I assume the 0.5mm refills fit just fine if you are looking for a finer line.  Great pen at a great price.

Review: Pilot Hi-Tec-C 0.4mm Soda Blue

I am really starting to like the variety of colors and widths available in the Pilot Hi-Tec-C line, so I am trying to add in a few different ones everytime I place an order with JetPens.  This time around, I went with the 0.4mm Soda Blue color.  The ink is really sharp and rather neat looking, and of course writes very well as all of the Hi-Tec-C pens tend to do.  More new colors here I come!

Review: Pilot G-3 Gel 0.38mm Blue

The Pilot G-3 is one of my all-time favorites, and I need to update my rankings on the sidebar accordingly.  I really can't find anything negative to say about this pen.  The ink flow is great and it is really comfortable.  I can use it for any situation on any type of paper and the performance is excellent.  If you want to make the foray into sub-0.5mm gel pens, then this would be a great starting point.

Review: Pilot Pockel Black 0.5mm

I've mentioned before that I really like the Pilot Pockel, right?  The black performs equally as well as the light green.  This is just a really solid little pen.  I could see myself owning and getting use out of every color available.
