Review: Uni-Ball Micro Deluxe

One of my biggest addictions in the past was this Uni-Ball Micro Deluxe. The 0.5mm tip writes really fine and clean on standard notebook paper, and was my pen of choice for years and years. I rarely use them anymore, mainly because I think some of the gel pens are superior, but I do keep a few around just for old times sake.

I have found gel pens difficult to use. I have not yet found one that allows my writing to 'flow'.

Have you tried just a basic Pilot G-2? Those are pretty smooth as far as gel pens go.

I agree, these are great pens. They were also my pen of choice for years, but I too gravitated toward gel pens to get a finer line for my writing, something I've been kind of obsessed with every since I learned to write. I'm still a Uni-ball fan, though, using the .38, .28 and .18 gel pens for almost all my writing.

I have been using these for my journals for about a year now, after trying out different pens in the school bookstore and finding none that write as thin. I love their sleek look and feel in the hand.

Since coming across your site, I now know there are even better pens that write more thinly and smoothly, stuff that is hard to find in bookstores and office supply stores. I'm really excited to try them out. Thank you!
