Review: Pilot G-3 Gel 0.38mm Blue

The Pilot G-3 is one of my all-time favorites, and I need to update my rankings on the sidebar accordingly.  I really can't find anything negative to say about this pen.  The ink flow is great and it is really comfortable.  I can use it for any situation on any type of paper and the performance is excellent.  If you want to make the foray into sub-0.5mm gel pens, then this would be a great starting point.

Not bad at all, I'll check them out! ;-)

On your recommendation I bought a Pilot G2 05 and a Pilot G2 XS Pixie. I love the XS Pixie. I might try either a Pilot G2 07 or a Pilot Gel-X next time.

Yeah - this is a really great, cost-effective pen Speedmaster. And thanks for the Pixie link Dudeabides!

Do you ever get a builup of ink at the tip at the end of a long line? I find these g-3 038's do that, leaving a blob the next time you set the pen down. Otherwise I find them quite good (except that the cap seems kind of loose)

On occasion, but not really that often. Also, more so with the blue ink than the black. I've been using a black 0.38 a bunch today and haven't had that problem.

And I agree 100% about the cap being loose - all of mine are like that. Kind of annoying.
