Review: Pilot Precise Grip Extra Fine

The Pilot Precise Grip Extra Fine writes just like every other Pilot Precise pen I have tried, but I think this is the most comfortable barrel design. It is a bit longer and larger in diameter than the Precise V5 (as well as the V5 retractable), and has the bonus of a comfortable rubber grip. Performance wise, I had not used this pen in a while so it took a bit to get flowing as you can see in the image. Aside from that, this is a good choice for any liquid ink needle tip fans.

Review: Uni-Ball Micro Deluxe

One of my biggest addictions in the past was this Uni-Ball Micro Deluxe. The 0.5mm tip writes really fine and clean on standard notebook paper, and was my pen of choice for years and years. I rarely use them anymore, mainly because I think some of the gel pens are superior, but I do keep a few around just for old times sake.

Review: Bic Mark-It Permanent Marker

I like the design and the price point of the Bic Mark-It permanent markers, but they really can't hold a candle to the Sharpie permanent markers. After marking up a few cds I had just burned, the tip was already going soft, and there is now a squishy feel when writing, which drives me nuts. I'll stay strictly in the Sharpie camp from now on.

Review: Paper Mate Flair Ultra Fine

I love the original Paper Mate Flair, so I was excited to see a finer tipped version available on store shelves. And just like the classic Flair, this pen delivers a great writing experience. If I am not using a gel pen, then I am usually reaching for a felt tip or plastic tip pen, and this one does a great job.

Review: Sharpie Pen

The Sharpie Pen caught me by surprise strolling down the aisle at Wal-Mart, and being the Pen Addict that I am, I just had to pick up a two-pack of black and a two-pack of blue. If you are familiar at all with the Pilot V Razor Point pens, then you have a good reference point for this pen. It is very similar, and I like it a lot. The black Sharpie Pen lays down a very solid, sharp line, and the blue does the same, although I would prefer a bit deeper shade. The tip is very firm and soild, and I haven't seen any signs of breaking down just yet. All in all, this is a great pen.

Review: Uni-Ball Vision Needle Fine

It's rare that I dislike a pen so much right out of the gate, but I do not like the Uni-Ball Vision Needle at all. I was actually excited to see a new Uni-Ball Vision model on the shelves since the original model is a pretty decent pen, but the Needle version does not live up to its predecessor. The ink flow is massive, so massive that I could hardly write fast enough to keep it from pooling and seeping through the paper. I'm a fast writer, and I couldn't keep up. In addition, the feathering is so bad, my lettering looks ridiculous. Each letter looks like it had fireworks go off behind it.

Needless to say, I am not happy with this pen at all. You can find better places to spend your money.

Review: Pilot BeGreen Precise V5 Extra Fine

Looks great, feels great, and writes great. Not to much more I can say about the Pilot BeGreen Precise V5. If you enjoy the original V5 model, then you will like this as well.
